Over the long bankholiday weekend, for some reason the cats decided that waking us up at different times or not at all would be fun.
Friday woken up at 3.30am by a claw in my head from Jerry. Angie got up and fed them while I stayed in bed (tee hee). Woken up again by padding at 6am, so I got up and that was that, no point going back to bed.
Saturday, very gently woken by Tom at 6.15am (a lye-in) purring in my ear. Got up and gave them food. That was that and yet again I did’nt bother going back to bed.
Sunday, not woken up at all by the cats. Still got up at 6am as I thought the repeat of Match of the Day would be on but it was’nt on until 8.35. Bummer.
Monday, up at 7am. Again not woken by the cats. I could get used to this.
Tuesday, not woken by cats, woken by alarm at 5.30am to get ready for work. Went down and fed them. They ate their food, popped out the back, then came running back in, had a bundle then went back upstairs for a sleep. While they were upstairs, next doors cat (spatzy) had taken full advantage of the fact that the catflap had’nt closed properly and I heard the tinkling of a bell. Hmm, our cats dont have a bell. I walked into the kitchen and there she was, as bold as brass eating their food. I tried to get hold of her but as the back door was locked and she didnt want to go out the flap, I had to let go. I picked her up again while looking for the door key. I managed to get the door unclocked but she jumped out of my arms and sought sanctuary in the litter tray. I picked her up out of the tray and placed her outside the back door. Phew, I hope I dont have to go through all that again before having to get out of the house to get to work.
