Last night when I got in from work, Angie had taken 2/3 of the water out of the tropical fish tank in order to clean and freshen. I did the usual of attaching the hose to the cold tap and started filling the tank. Once it had been filled, we put the light on.......OH NO! All the fish in the tank were either laying on their backs or swimming erratically (forgot the cold water was colder than normal). Quick as a flash Angie got the bucket and started taking some of the water out, while I boiled kettles. Once we had replaced the freezing water with warm, all but one of the fish (sorry large kissing gurami, you are no more) came back to life and are now all swimming around normally, PHEW!
When I got up for work this morning, I was greeted by Jerry, who followed me around while I got ready. When I was about to leave the bathroom, he gave a little miaow. This seemed a bit odd. It was'nt until I had gone downstairs and was in the living room when I heard him scratching about by the front door. On investigation, he was playing with a present he had brought in (hence the miaow)......a lovely dead mouse. That's both of them now that have caught something and brought it home. THANKS JERRY, A FAB PRESENT.
