Tuesday night/Wednesday morning: They had eaten their food so they woke me up clawing at my feet and purring in my ear. Angie got up and fed them while I got ready for work. I decided to give Tom a little play with one of the laces, which he chased after then ran away with when he caught it. That was that for this morning, until I decided to put some seed out for the birds. I left the back door open slightly and when I came back, both next door’s cats (Tilly & Spatzy) were eating Tom & Jerry’s food. I shouted and they both ran out. Oh well, might as well get rid of what little is left and put down some fresh food. Wher you might ask were Tom & Jerry while all this was going on. Upstairs asleep, which is where we should have been. Oh the life of a cat, how purrrfect.
We have now found out why they sometimes wake us up early and sometimes not. If they have eaten all the food in their bowls during the night then they wake us up, if there is food left, they don’t, simples.
Tom likes to lick my toes when I take my socks off after I get home from work....yuk. When I woke up on Saturday morning (after Tom jumped on the bed), I peeked over the top of the duvet and Jerry was sitting there about 6 inches away from my face. As soon as I made eye contact, he stretched his paw out to try and claw at my cheek, so I grabbed it. I let go and he tried again. This went on for a couple of minutes, but after the 5th or 6th attempt he gave up. Instead, he moved forward and.........lick, lick, lick he went, all over my nose. Thanks for that Jerry, I really needed a cat wash first thing.
Of the two, Jerry is by far the lickiest.
