Another morning, another early wake up call. This time it was 4.30am. Tom one end, Jerry the other. No rest for the wicked.
Well, I think Tom broke some kind of record last night..........he came up and woke me at 2.22am. Luckily I needed to get up to go to the loo anyway and after that he went back downstairs where Angie stayed all night to make sure they couldnt get back upstairs. She really is a diamond.
We now seriously have to sort out locking the lovely little blighters in the kitchen at night, as not only did I get woken at 4am and continuously hassled until I got up at 5.15am, they now chase each other round the house jumping on things that should'nt be jumped on, like the coffee table with cups of tea and water on, which tend to go flying. These comedy chase scenes all take place at 2-4am, which don't tend to wake me but they do wake Angie. A bolt on the kitchen door should do the trick................watch this space.
Update for the weekend......Woken up at 4.45am Saturday and 6am Sunday, which was a lie-in considering it's normally 5am ish. Managed to get a few pics of the puds at the weekend which are now uploaded to the cat pics page.
Just as I was thinking that being woken early by purring and padding was bad enough, I was rudely woken at 5am this morning by Jerry (the little swine) pouncing on and clawing my toe as it moved out from under the covers at the end of the bed. "OW" i cried, get the hell away from me you little............bleeeeeeep.
I think it's time I got a lock for the door before I do him some harm.......like clawing at his paws while he's asleep. I had set my alarm for 5.35am this morning as we were going for a later but faster train to work. I dont think Tom fully understands alarm clocks, as he woke me at my usual time of 5.20am. If only I could teach him that he should only purr and pad once the alarm goes off....come on Tom, what are you, some kind of animal.
Where is Jerry in all this.............he's a good boy, he never wakes me up, he just waits until i'm getting washed and dressed and then chases Tom round the bathroom......quiet you two, Angie is still trying to sleep. Oh dear. Woken at 4.12am this morning (tuesday 1st Dec) by a little mewing coming from the landing. Wife got up to check and................oh look a lovely little present Tom decided to get us for christmas.......A MOUSE (dead of course).
This does prove that he is at least venturing outside more than we thought. WELL DONE LITTLE BOY. |
